Which is the best juicer on the market? Breville makes some great juicers, and if money was no object, their Juice Fountain Elite 800JEXL and Juice Fountain ikon BJE510XL would be at the top of our list. Elegance, stainless steel durability, and satisfied users combine to make them a perfect choice.
However, most of us can't afford to pay 0 - 0 for a juicer. Health and nutrition are important, but 0 will buy you a lot of nutrition elsewhere. So for us mere mortals, here are our top 3 picks for best juicers under 0:
1. Oster 3157 - This centrifugal juicer can handle almost any fruit or vegetable. Sorry, no leafy greens or wheatgrass. The 3157 is powered by a 400 watt electric motor and only has one speed setting, which is standard for this class. The automatic pulp ejector allows you to continuously juice without having to stop and clear the basket. Oster only provides a one-year warranty on both the motor and appliance, which is a little skimpy for a juicer. User satisfaction is high, and overall we rated it EXCELLENT.
2. Hamilton Beach Big Mouth 67600 - "Big Mouth" is normally not a flattering term, but in this case, having a big mouth allows the juicer to swallow and chew-up whole foods such as apples. If you don't have much time to spend on juicing, and who does, 3" wide feed tubes are a big plus and allow you to skip a lot of the chopping and dicing preparation time. The 67600 has a powerful 800 watt motor that can handle tough vegetables, and the pulp is auto-ejected into a side bin. Users are fairly happy with this juicer and Hamilton Beach cheats a little like Oster and provides a one-year warranty. We rated the Big Mouth VERY GOOD.
3. Juiceman Jr JM400 - The JM400 from Juiceman has a stainless steel housing and big 700 watt motor for power and durability. It's one of the few juicers with a high and low speed setting. This feature is handy when you want to juice just soft foods like raspberries (low speed), or when you're stuffing in lots of carrots (high speed). The Juiceman Jr also has a wide feed tube and auto-pulp ejector that really speeds up the juicing process. Users are satisfied with the JM400, we just wished they offered more than a one-year warranty. Overall, the Juiceman Jr received a VERY GOOD in our evaluation.
